Welcome to
Arnhall Swimming Club Coaches Section
In this section we will introduce the various members who unselfishly give their time and effort in order to teach our swimmers their strokes and techniques.

Head
Coach
Drew Burnett
I joined the club at the age of
five and apart from a break away
for about five years have been
involved ever since. First as a
swimmer / water polo player in
the old Dundee Baths then on to
coaching at the age of 18. At
the age of 20 I took over the
job of head coach and held the
post for 3 and-a-half years
until I had to leave due to work
commitments. I am now in my
second stint as a coach for the
club returning when my children
became involved. I am currently
Head Coach with the Club. I also
assist with team duties for the
Impact Training Squad and I was
the Area Manager for S.A.S.A.
Flying Start Programme now known
as The Academy.

Premier League Team Manager
Neil Kiddie
Neil took over the management of
the Premier League Team in the
2002 season. He is also
currently an Assistance Coach
with the club and is enjoying
the rewards that the Premier
Team are excelling themselves,
finishing joint second this
season. |

Charlie White
Charlie joined the club when
his sons became involved in
swimming. Since then
he has served on the
committee as the
Fundraising Convenor and
subsequently the second
division team Manager. He also
assists the club by coaching
at the Olympia and the
Harris. |

Gillian Burnett
I was asked if I
could help out at Dundee Arnhall
and teach the young beginners in
the toddlers pool when I was a
15 year-old competitive swimmer
– and I’m still helping now! I
enjoyed the challenge and seeing
the non-swimmers progress to
swimmers and decided to sit the
swimming teacher’s exams. I
teach and coach mainly the
younger members, including
swimmers who compete in the
Premier League and Second
Division teams, and also those
who attend MAGIC swimming at
Craigie High School. My
full-time job is teaching
primary and secondary pupils to
swim in a Dundee School.
